Be the first to review this product

Roger Hilton (1911-1975) began his career as a figurative painter but turned to abstraction following contact with artists in 1930s Paris and Amsterdam. In the 1950s he was among the most radical of abstract painters, but from the late 1950s began to switch between abstract and figurative work. Chris Stephens traces the course of Hilton's life and artistic development in this illustrated survey from the St Ives Artists series.
