Louis Comfort Tiffany and Laurelton Hall: An Artist's Country Estate

Louis Comfort Tiffany is best known for his stained glass, but he was also a gifted painter who aimed to combine all the decorative arts to create an environment that would sustain the human soul. Nowhere was this more evident than in the home he built for himself on Long Island. In this lavishly illustrated celebration, period photographs of the house in its heyday are complemented by luminous colour plates of artifacts salvaged from the fire that destroyed it in 1957.
